Third annual reunion in the books!
While, it seems that we have put another reunion in the books. It was a
good time and I personally got to hook up with an old friend that I have
not seen in years. Lots of good food and great times and very great
people is the way I would sum up this years reunion.
Ok, now on to the important stuff. At the end of the reunion we had are
annual meeting. This is a face to face meeting, one of the very few we
have all year long. A few important topics were discussed; making the
reunion bi annual instead of annual was the biggest topic and the one I
would like to share with you, my readers. It was felt that maybe we
should consider a change in our reunion practices. By having a bi-annual
event instead of annual it would make people want to show up more for
the reunions when we have them. This idea was decided against by all
members present. But, the one thing that was decided was the one thing
that set Del Norte apart from the rest of the pack. Service! Service to
the rest of the pack. Service! Service to the community that we were a
part of, the county of Del Norte. We are going to meet ever summer just
like past reunions but, we are going to conduct a volunteer event in the
community during the course of our gathering. Through out the year
leading up to the gathering various people will be making contacts and
lining up a project. As we get closer to the time of our gathering more
information will be released. We are no longer have this event called a
reunion. This is going to be the DNCAA &ambsp; BC annual service spike.
This will be an annual event that will happen ever year on the last
weekend in July. You make be asking what no more reunion? No, that is
not the case! We are still going to have reunions. Our next reunion will
be held in three years. Three years from now will mark the five year
anniversary of Del Norte Center's shut down. We feel that it will be
appropriate for us to hold a reunion to mark the fifth year our center
was not in service. As the time grows closer to this historical date
information will be released.

It was Pizza Time!
On December 18th, 2005, we had our biannual Alumni Association-sponsored Pizza Party at the Round Table Pizza in Arcata (same place as the last pizza party, 600 F St, Arcata, CA (707) 822-3761). Woo, free food and get-together! It was Tight.
We also had some important issues to discuss. It is Luke's time to move on from the postition as chair of the DNCAA and we needed to fill the Position. So please drop Luke a line to give him a nice send-off! Luke's email: lukwengrinATgooglemail.com
We had a blast at this Pizza Party and last March as well! We hope to see you for the next event!
