December 2008 Pizza Party!
To commemorate the 5th year after the closing of the Del Norte Center,
and the passing of Peter Lewis, we come together and create this
convivial space to meet, catch up, and also plan a 5th year anniversary
reunion for this summer. It's been a few years since we've done
anything, so we look forward to seeing you all!

Peter Lewis, the heart of the Backcountry Trails Program for oh-so-many
years, has passed on. To learn more, and see some nice pictures and
videos, please visit the Memorial Blog. Our
goal is to raise $1600 for the Memorial fund by January 31st, 2008. You
can contribute here:
2007 Reunion came and
went

There was a service project and a gathering of only a few..
Sad News
Melanie Ortez and Sonia Calderon, employees of CCC, recently died as a
result of an auto accident.
More information, including on the Memorial Funds that have been
established, was posted on the lounge. (But unfortunately is lost.)
December, 2006 Pizza Party

We successfully held our third annual pizza party. Since
the closure of Del Norte center we alumni have gathered in December to
reconnect with one another. We had the pizza party
December 16th at 6:00pm and all were invited.

Third annual reunion in the books!
While, it seems that we have put another reunion in the books. It was a
good time and I personally got to hook up with an old friend that I have
not seen in years. Lots of good food and great times and very great
people is the way I would sum up this years reunion.

A great confluence in time has passed and once again many different paths converged at the mouth of the Klamath River. Time seemed to stand still, if only for a few days, as the greatness and culture of a place called DNC was remembered. Let's hope even more people can make the journey next year! Sorry, you folks had to miss out on such a good time!
We would like to thank the Yurok Tribe for providing that awesome Salmon BBQ and also Kamp Klamath for their hospitality.
